Transitional English, Social Studies, Science 7, 8, 9
Transitional courses follow the same curriculum guidelines as regular Grade 7 – 11 courses and use materials recommended by the British Columbia Ministry of Education. Transitional students are those English as a Second Language students who are almost ready to enter a regular program but require some extra assistance in the areas of vocabulary and language development.
Generally, students who are achieving high grades in a transitional course should be ready to proceed to the next grade level in that subject. Students who are achieving lower grades in a transitional course would usually benefit from repeating that course in a regular program.
Regular Credit Courses: Grades 7, 8, 9, 10, 11,12
Regular courses meet course learning outcomes as set by the British Columbia Ministry of Education. Provincially recommended learning resources are used.
Government exams are required in English 10, Science 10, Math 10, Social Studies 11, Communications 12 and English 12 courses.
